Birth Name: Brian Scott Cope
Legal Name: Brian Scott Griffin
My legal name is Brian Scott Griffin, as Griffin is the family name of my biological father, David Griffin.
However, I grew up with my biological mother, so my birth name was Brian Scott Cope, she did this to get back at my father for not raising me, but all it does is harm me.
As an adult I changed my name, appropriated it, to Brian Scott Griffin, the purpose of which stated in the court documents for Change of Name is as follows:
“To carry on the name of my biological father, David Griffin”.
I am a firm believer that a son should carry on the father’s name, not the mother’s.
A real man, given the choice, will carry on the fathers name, not the mothers.
However, it is impossible to notify everyone who knew me when I was growing up of the change of name. I have posed a note on my Facebook page and MySpace page regarding the name change. But to some people, I will always be Brian Cope, and most of the people who knew me when I was growing up are on Facebook. That is why I am Brian Cope on Facebook.
On MySpace I am Brian Griffin, I use my legal name on here, as most of these people did not know me when I was growing up.
I typed all the legal papers for the name change on one of my computers, an older one, even the Order for Change of Name, that the judge signed.
And now, there is this chick in Austin, who has known me for about a year, from her job, and she has been obsessed with me and stalking me for a few months now, and now she thinks that I am a cop. Good grief, how can she think that I am a cop?
Because I used to be a security officer, which is just an easy job I had, which I don’t really consider work, at least not as much as most jobs. So that was my easy job.
A security officer is a civilian occupation, I was not a police officer and had no police powers, I was employed by a contract security guard company, which is similar to an employment agency assigning people to an account.
Except security firms specialize in security.
A security officer has no more authority than an ordinary citizen.
The only exception to this is that, due to agency law and contract law involved in this type of work, the rights and authority as an agent for the client, who would either be the property owner or tenant who has control of what they rent, these rights extend to the security officer, so that is the only type of authority the security officer has.
This chick saw my other name of Brian Cope, and the name Cope is basically the word “Cop” with an “E” at the end. So now she thinks that I amName Confusion

My legal name is Brian Scott Griffin, as Griffin is the family name of my biological father, David Griffin.

Update, I am now going by my legal name on Facebook, which is due to the name change, so that I have my biological father’s last name, rather than my mom’s.
